Web Interface Optimo IoT
The Web interface of Optimo IoT is designed for viewing the collected data, managing plants and configuring devices remotely. It is reachable both locally and remotely through the Cloud.
STEP1 Interface configuration

Logging in: Sign in to the system either locally, over the gateway’s network, or remotely through the Cloud portal.

Mapping the devices: Add the sensors and machines by choosing the communication protocol (Modbus or LoRaWAN, for instance) and defining which variables to collect.

Customising the layout: Build your own dashboards in the graphical editor by dragging in the widgets you want (charts, mimic diagrams) and setting user permissions.

Settings and alarms: Set the critical thresholds that trigger notifications (email or SMS) and save your changes, which are synchronised automatically between the device and the cloud.
STEP2 Interface features
- Fully customisable editor: A built-in editor for constructing your own dashboards from a library of ready-made widgets. Users can change titles, colours, axes and variables, and add their own logo to give the application their own visual identity.
- Data monitoring and analysis: View physical quantities in real time, explore historical trends, calculate performance indicators (KPIs) and build graphical mimic diagrams of the plant. Geolocation is supported too.
- Unified configuration environment: As well as showing the data, the web interface has its own section for configuring the gateway, setting up the communication protocols, adding new sensors (LoRaWAN included) and administering the whole system remotely.
- Hierarchical user management (Asset Tree): The system organises the plants into a logical tree (the “Asset tree”). Each user is tied to a particular node (an Asset) and sees only the plants they are responsible for; dashboards themselves can be inherited from the nodes above if none has been created specifically for a submenu.
- Alarms and export: Alarm rules can be configured from the platform, with notifications by SMS or email. The data behind the charts can be exported as CSV for analysis elsewhere, or fed to third-party software such as KNIME and Python environments for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Automatic synchronisation: Any change to the dashboard configuration — whether made locally by connecting directly to the gateway or remotely on the Cloud portal — is synchronised automatically between the device and the server. If the two conflict, for example because the gateway was offline, the configuration held on the gateway itself takes precedence.
