IoT Gateway AssetLinker 300
The AL300 Gateway is the central piece of hardware in Optimo IoT, designed for monitoring, automating and remotely managing installations in buildings and industry.
STEP1 Gateway configuration
- Add devices from different manufacturers to the AL300 and set them up with our simplified tools, to start collecting data straight away
- Configure the Ethernet ports and the settings of the Modbus RS-485 serial port. Set up the internet connection over LAN, WiFi, or enable the 4G SIM for a mobile connection
- Change the gateway name, check the installed firmware version, manage active licences and check the cloud connection status
- Choose how the data is stored, using the AL300 as a local data logger or sending everything to the cloud platform. Decide whether to save on a time basis or according to your own criteria. Expose the collected data as an OPC UA or Modbus TCP server
STEP2 Gateway features
Multi-protocol data acquisition: It collects operating parameters on site by talking to sensors (wired or LoRaWAN wireless), heat pumps, inverters, PLCs and other machinery. To do so it supports the most widespread industrial communication protocols: Modbus, OPC UA, BACnet and MQTT.
Cloud connectivity: It sends the collected information automatically to the Optimo IoT cloud platform, so users can view custom dashboards, follow historical trends and handle alarms both locally and remotely.
Local automation (edge computing): It has the flow-based programming environment Node-RED. built in. This makes it easy to create local automation logic, run calculations on the data right at the source and command field devices without necessarily going through the cloud.
Remote access (VPN): It acts as a secure “bridge” into the plant. When enabled, the AL300 creates a VPN tunnel that lets operators connect securely to the IP devices on the local network, for example to reprogram a PLC or run diagnostics on it from a distance.
Integrations (Python and API): It offers advanced features for developers, with Python libraries aimed at data scientists for processing data in real time, and an HTTP API for passing the collected data to business software, DCS systems or third-party applications.
